Title: Mono slab
Post by: Cbean on August 05, 2020, 08:43:03 PM
Has anyone done a mono slab for the 20x30 I'm waiting on for concreet guy to show up. I figure it will be about 16 yards. I'm hope it's under 6000

16 yards is just about right on the money for a mono slab that size...that's IF your form is perfect, and the supplier doesn't short you....take it from me and order a couple extra yards. Running out of mud on a pour REALLY sucks lol...

Had a 20x30 poured last year. 12" thick  around the edges (1 foot wide, 1 foot deep there), tapering to 4" thickness in the middle. (all my bearing walls are on the outside of this structure.) I figure more like 12 yards tops for doing it that way?

Site was prepped already. For XPS foam underneath and wrapped up the sides as well, I paid $4k for mine.

If I'm forming a mono, the footers alone will be 288 square inches in cross section, plus the 4" slab on top of that....plus any center bearing pads....
