I needed to solve for some angles and side lengths of some triangle shapes. I usually use a pad of paper, a pencil, scale, protractor and a lot of eraser. I did a web search and found a wonderful triangle calculator. A triangle has three sides and three angles, of course. If you know three of the variables; three sides or three angles, one angle and the lengths of the two sides that include the angle or the length of one side and the angle at each end of that side, you can solve for the other angles and side lengths.

You can find the calculator at http://www.1728.com/trig4.htm (http://www.1728.com/trig4.htm)
There are also other calculators and references available from the sites main page http://www.1728.com/ (http://www.1728.com/)
Thanks Don:
Handy batch of calculators! :D
It is [cool]
I played around earlier with a 30/60/90 triangle and got the ratios of the side lengths set to whichever side I wanted, very useful if (when!) trig is eluding me.

I appreciate the link to my website calculator. Unfortunately, the domain name 1728.com was stolen from me last month by someone in China. >:(
Anyway, I have rebuilt the entire site at www.1728.org and so the link should now go to http://www.1728.org/trig4.htm
Ordinarily, I don't like to bump a 2 year old thread but people were still reaching my website from this link so I guess this link is still active.
Thanks everyone. ;D
Sorry to hear about the issues with the original site of yours. Thanks for the update on the info.
