Title: 11 mm allen wrench
Post by: peternap on July 09, 2008, 08:24:00 PM
I needed an 11 mm Allen wrench to change the oil in my XL600. I can't find one locally. I guess I'll have to order one. I'm sure Mcmaster Carr has them.

For the life of me, I don't understand why the company's don't at least use a 10 or a 12mm, if they just have to use these 3rd world measurements.

I had to regrind a 12mm to change the oil >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( :(

Peter it wouldn't make any difference there is always a size I don't have.  Learned to go to Harbor Freight and buy a cheap set of Allens and Metric Winche's to handle all the imported goods that we buy so cheap. I would even say that Wally World would have one in their limited tool section not far from the paint department.

Good on you, Peter.  I was going to say an 11 is just a 12 that got too close to the grinder.
