Title: Firestopping Attic Trusses
Post by: brndaj on August 07, 2012, 03:12:24 PM
We are building a new garage with a bedroom over the top.  The trusses are 48 feet long with a 6 foot overhang in the front and a 1 foot overhang in the back.  There is an 18 foot attic in the truss, my question is,  how do I go about firestopping the open spaces in the truss?

Drywall on a face is usually the cheapest and easiest, prior to the trades coming in.
