I'm planning on building a two bay car shed for my Ford F-150 and Nissan Pathfinder this Spring. I am not currently at home to measure the vehicles but would like to start planning.

Is 20 feet wide large enough for two vehicles? I plan on setting 6X6 posts in the ground (nine of them) and installing a basic 'lean to' type aluminum roof. I also plan on walling up the south and west sides. Is cementing the 6X6 posts in the ground the best foundation? Or should I attach it to the ground in a different way?

Since I haven't built a car shed before I'm wondering if there is anything of which I should be aware?

Here's the sketchup

20' is not wide enough for two vehicles- especially the size of those two. Our garage is 20' wide, and it isn't wide enough to open the car door fully without either hitting the wall or the other car. A good-sized vehicle with both doors open is about 12' wide. 24' would be the minimum width.
