Make Peace With Your Past So It Won't Screw Up The Present

We had laws against our military being used against us on our own soil until Illegal Presidential signing orders changed that.  A presidential signing order is un-Constitutional therefore is null and void.

Soon we will have our own little Abu Ghraib right here in the good old US of A.  Any confrontation between our military and civilians that is of other than a helpful nature will be a violation of those laws, and in fact just their deployment on our soil is a violation of Constitutional Law.

I don't think anyone can honestly and knowingly say, It won't happen here.  A reminder... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4944094/

Oh wait -- I remember my friend said,  "Hi, We're from the Federal Government and We're here to help you."

US Code

Quote

TITLE 18 > PART I > CHAPTER 67 > § 1385

§ 1385. Use of Army and Air Force as posse comitatus
.
Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

From the above ref, not even the National guard is allowed as law enforcement, but looks like they may be called for disaster assistance...

Makes good sense to me.

It frees the cops time, to write more speeding tickets ;D
These here is God's finest scupturings! And there ain't no laws for the brave ones! And there ain't no asylums for the crazy ones! And there ain't no churches, except for this right here!

Minor traffic offenses are a vast, untapped, revenue source for municipalities.

Untapped?  You don't live in California do you.

I got a letter from a collection agency- GC Services - they have a window in the courthouse -  a couple days ago for a 6 year old ticket that I paid at a branch court.   $339 for a $39 ticket I paid the day of the court case.  I called and found they had failed to record the branch payment to the main court ledger.  At least they found the record of payment. d*

Lucky for you, or else they would have forced you to pay again. Nope, not in California, I'm in central Vermont. A lot of the smaller towns around here are starting to hire off-duty sheriff deputies to "patrol" the streets on weekends to make the streets "safer" by writing tickets for any infraction.

A bad day of fishing beats a good day at work any day, but building something with your own hands beats anything.

A case of p---s envy I think. [waiting]

No, not envy, it's just some cops view everybody as potential criminals, thus a threat, and that twists their interactions with people, a vast majority who are not criminals.
