Spanish prostitutes ordered to wear reflective vests for their own safety
Prostitutes working on the street outside a town northern Spain have been ordered to wear reflective vests to make them visible to passing traffic and reduce the risk of accidents.

I knew something was up when Butler tried to make me wear one of these yellow vests last June on the Safeway Job.

No wonder I caught on to them and refused to wear the yellow safety vest...............

What do they think I am anyway?    [noidea'

Though I often tell people I sell my body for money - you know....contracting, I didn't mean I was a literal low flying dove..... [waiting]

You're a hard man Mr Kangiser, and as an ol' girl friend of my youth used to say, 'a hard man is good to find'.............
She taught me a lot, and for an extra $3 she'd even care.

Seriously, if you wore that get up over there, you'd still be fined, and more than 40 euros....although it is quite fetching.

[shocked]  That's just crazy.I wonder if it's to make the corner crawlers stand out for the police to watch them.

According to the article, its legal for them to be self employed but not for them to have a boss who profits off of them.... If I read that right.....

No, Ben... It 's government looking after them I think, and like ours, I'm sure they have their best interests at heart...... :)

I'll bet it's so the politicians can find them easier.... I'm sure they are on a tight schedule.... [waiting]

Winter is barbecue time in the Underground Command Center.......

Always a nice hot bed of Oak coals burning in the evening. The basket makes quick work of it in the old Round Oak.  [bbq]

It's OK, Bully Boy... steaks come from the store, besides, you're too tough anyway......  [hungry]

Bully Boy doesn't know about that though......

Hmm...... I think I'll just lay right here until dinner time is over.......

...but clown on the other hand..Clown... he doesn't trust me one bit.... being extra cautious here... [scared]

I'm off to the North Bay area again to work on a car dealership for the masses...... just a quicky this time though.  :)

Are those rib eyes or NY Strips, Glenn ?

They look goo-oood, I can almost enjoy the aroma

How do you keep the fat from flaming up ?

We did up some filets Saturday night on the Weber -- I figure with my wisdom teeth (they were clearly not working as I mostly have no discernible wisdom LOL) coming out in the AM it will be awhile before I chew steaks

We enjoy NY Strips mostly -- maybe 2 weeks out for the next steak grill

Prime rib is amazing grilled on the Weber --maybe we'll splurge

It is not as much fun grilling in the winter up here but your photo is inspiring

They were T Bones, Windpower.  [bbq]

Our stove is pretty tall so I can move the steaks away from the coals a bit if I need to.  Keeping the door shut most of the way while the steaks are cooking keeps most of the smoke going up the chimney.

The rest may set off the smoke alarm for a few minutes but with the thought of a good steak to bite into soon, it is easy to ignore.  [ouch]

T bones

I think I will put T bones on the list after this dang swelling goes down

Just watched a Public TV guy tonight Dr Joel Freeman talking about how to change the way we eat to lose weight and get healthy

Here he is showing all this wonderful food and I just sit here icing the jaw and drooling -- ok the Vicodin might have an effect on the drooling ---  d*

Well, we both got back up to the underground cabin this evening & now we are both sitting next to each other w/our laptops.   Glenn is killing flies, too.  Both of us were out of town for the week & the flies decided to move in  >:(  He has a light on next to him so they are bothering him.

I spent the week down in the valley at our other place cleaning & discarding stuff - trying to get the place ready for renting out or selling...  on my way down there my android phone decided to take a dump...  there is no internet there & I cancelled the landline a couple months ago because now that I don't work in the valley I'm seldom at the house.  The couple that live in the mobile home on the property & take care of things, let me borrow their phone...  otherwise, I had no way of contacting Glenn.

Took the phone to AT&T but they weren't able to fix it so bought a $20 phone to hold me over until our contract is up & we can upgrade or whatever.

For a cheap phone I bought a Trac phone at office depot

that was almost 3 years ago and it is still working well (it is a cheap LG flip phone) --it even works at the farm --the only one of three of our cells that does consistently

CHEAP I think I have not spent more than $200 for the last 3 years (admittedly I don't use a lot of minutes on it but they are cheap to add too)

Sounds like a good idea, WP.  Seems they could be a good spare for working in different areas where coverage is bad also for a low cost.  As I recall it seems like I have see them around for $15 or so.  Maybe even a good emergency backup.  :)

When I retire in January I am giving up my service contract and going the Trac phone route.  It is not hugely important anyone contact me after the 23 of this month.  After that I will still be technically employed until Jan 11 but fat chance you will see on a train after the 23 of this month.

Since 1976 having to be around the phone for the crew dispatcher to call me for trains .....    [waiting]  Holy cow this is going to be weird......

The ranch does not have cell phone service but if we do build up there it would be nice to have a cell phone when we get to the valley..................
Proverbs 24:3-5 Through wisdom is an house builded; an by understanding it is established.  4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.  5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.

Sassy

I bought a $20 Go phone - AT&T but until our service contract is up all I had to do was take the SIM card out of the messed up phone & put it in the cheapy...  got service right away.  I've never liked AT&T - our phones barely work at the place in the valley, one reason I kept the land line for so long & they don't work up here on our property unless you go to the other side of the hill...

They're service is more expensive than any of the other services & then basically tell you too bad...  the kids at the service center tried to help after 1st telling me there was nothing they could do about it, it was out of warranty.  When I told them that these phones came out & immediately they upgraded the newer phones (not ours) because of problems, they nodded & offered to give me a battery but that wouldn't even work, sooooo...

When I'm down in the valley I need some sort of communication.  My car is getting pretty old, lot of things need fixing, got a lot of miles on it...  still thinking about getting me a 4WD PU w/quad cab...  but you can't necessarily trust any of the newer vehicles being build...  what to do, what to do  ???

Yup, Trac phone for me all the way.
Service contracts....ptuui.
Have the land line, but on the road it's the cheapie, $30 every three months.
It's, as said, just for emergencies and trip saving quick calls.
Clear as a bell, even at our cabin.

i should get one of those. i have no land line but i am so sick of giving verizon over $300 a month

Sassy

Yeah, for landline, internet service & cell phones we were paying $300 mo, now that I closed out the landline at our valley house & changed the long distance service we're saving about $50 mo.  Still way too much IMHO...  especially when the AT&T service works in only a few select places & often even then, not very good.

Now, about that 4WD PU...  Glenn likes Dodge, I like the looks of them & want a diesel...  our newest one is a 2001 - anyone heard much about the newer ones?
