16x24 in Michigan's UP

Well it has been a long 3 years, but we started our dream this Memorial Day weekend.
We purchased property in the UP of Michigan on Lake Huron about 3 years ago. I have been a long time lurker on this site and all of your Cabins are just AWESOME!!!

The driveway is IN!!!! We will go up and start building the 4th of July.

When we started on Memorial day weekend, this is what the construction guy cleared.

6x10 ground grade beams finished.

The T&G subfloor is done!!! That was very heavy, and lots of screws. This me doing the Country Plans JIG...I am no dancer by any means, but it is done. That is all that was done on 4th of July weekend.

Had a little trailer snafu, but we got the walls up. Couldn't bring the sheeting. Next time. 10 Foot walls are really tall when setup.

Roof rafters almost finished.

Roof was covered with very high quality paper that is guaranteed to last at least 6 months in the weather, and I put a tarp over it as it will be next spring before i get the metal for this.

Had to walk in from down the road. About 4 feet now, but the roof is still standing!!! I did something right...

Doing some insulation during winter so I dont freeze.

Most of the insulation done, but floor needs to be done eventually it still doesnt hold heat very well.
