Okay, hitting the road soon, and would love to send pics, but it may be some time before I figure out internet access.  My properties are well off grid, so I have to create a little "infrastructure" before I can reasonably get on the 'net again.
I have this nifty new cell phone from Verizon that includes a digital camera, but so far have failed to decipher how to get pictures to the internet.  Is it  possible, and is there any (probably younger  [smiley=wink.gif]) person who can explain how?
Thanks!
Bill

I think young little ol' me can help you, Billy Bob.  Send them straight from your phone to Flickr.

From Flickr site:

QuoteCan I send a photo to Flickr from my cameraphone?

Absolutely! You can upload your cameraphone photos to Flickr via your own personal upload-via-email address. You can set this up here.

When you upload photos via email, use the subject line to give your photo a title, and the body of the email to give it a description.

If you want to have your cameraphone pictures show up on an outside weblog, you can do that too. First, set up the weblog (see above). Then register a special upload-by-email address to post to your blog. Once that's done, photos uploaded to the new address will be blogged automatically. When you post this way, the body of the email will be posted as the photo description, and the subject will become the title when you are auto-blogging.

If I remember right this is how puppy poo girl got caught.

a) wireless internet through the cell-phone network, but using your computer.  Very fast, expensive, not available everywhere--eighty a month might not be all that bad if it was easy.  There are a few computers--Sony laptops for the most part--that offer a month's service free.

b) there are cheaper plans available that would give you a bit of internet access through your phone.  Don't know how much, but it might be reasonable to email pictures to someone to put up.  It's still more than the standard cell-phone service.

Glenn slipped in there.  You do have to be able to do email, according to Cingular's version of the service.

I have a Cingular plan with a bit of picture sending included - seemed  a bit unclear to me how much.  I commonly send pictures to the company i contract to when there are mis-fabrication problems on steel -- seems to work fine-- takes a few minutes to do each one though.

That second link tells about Cingular's pricing and policy.  It happens to be my (rarely used, but I sure have been very happy to have  had road service through them) cell-phone company.
