roofing felt and latex paint floor covering

I'm sorry to ask, because I know it has been a topic here before, but I can't find it.  I'm looking for information on using roofing felt and paint to make a floor covering.  Can someone please point me to the thread, and/or add any experience-based testimony.  The one I've found is David Lee's Forever Floor article.  He uses mineralized felt.  http://www.backwoodshome.com/articles2/lee92.html.

Thank's John.  The link mentioned is the same one I found with Google; perhaps it is the only one out there.  In the old thread Amanda guesses that several posters have thought about it, but have not tried it.  I'm helping son rehab newly acquired rental property that offers some how-can-we-lose opportunities, and we may give it a try.  If so, I'll let you all know how it works.  First I have to patch the rat holes.   :-/
