I guess that was the tail of our last Sunday storm.

I just wished you would have kept it out there.  The wind was stronger than I thought last night.  Listened to the local radio after I had posted and the next county over in VA reported 103MPH wind.  That might have accounted for the rain blowing upside down last night. ;D

It's OK, John... we are getting more to replace it... not quite as hard this time but cranking out some nice power though.  :)

60F today and believe it or not it didn't snow this morning like it had the past 3 mornings.  Friday and Saturday it was 38-42F blowing snow.  Good working weather.  I tackled the water gap that was crushed by the National Forrest tree that fell on the 24th.  Finished it up yesterday and today I replaced 100 feet of fence that was taken out this winter by a car accident.  Seeing that the annual Spring Cattle sales are this Friday I thought I would fix the holes.

It was 86 the other day, today woke up to snow  ???

The first humming bird showed up today, and the violet green swallows came by yesterday.  Ok, NOW its Spring.

Currently 65 on way to 90.  Friday in low 70s.  :) This is not bad but winds are coming and that means fire season starting.

QuoteAlabama's state emergency management agency said it had confirmed 162 deaths, while there were 33 in Mississippi, 33 in Tennessee, 13 in Georgia, eight in Virginia and one in Kentucky.

Suddenly the rain doesn't seem so bad...

At the cabin; Saturday was wonderful, clear skies, sunny, temperature up to 65 F.

Early Sunday (today) it began to snow around 5 or 6 AM as the weather guy said it would. By noon 5 inches had fallen with no signs of stopping. The weather guy said the snow could continue until 6 AM Monday with up to a foot accumulation.

We came home this afternoon (still snowing) only because our work ethic dictates we need to be here in town for work Tuesday. My sense of adventure said to stay at the cabin. Lots of food and water there and all kinds of yet unburned firewood. Oh well.

103 F here in balmy Minnesota.  Hasn't been this hot for 5 years, and definately not so early in the season.  79F at our property in northern Minnesota.  We should have taken a trip up there taken advantage of the free air conditioning!
A bad day of fishing beats a good day at work any day, but building something with your own hands beats anything.

Native_NM

Warm and windy, with more smoke than a casino.  Sky was a weird red last night, and a haze tonight.  The Arizona fires are over 300,000 acres, and the smoke settles right into the valley here.
New Mexico.  Better than regular Mexico.

Temperatures at night are around the mid 40's.  By afternoon they swing to the mid 80's.  A lot of adjustment clothing wise.  I just have to clean all the long sleeve shirts out of my truck that I have shed by about 9AM. ;D

Hot and dry. It's pushing up toward 100 now and after fighting 40 days and 40 nights of torrential rain to get my crops planted....It's bone dry >:(

This has been the year for crazy weather. We already broke the all time coldest temp record at -28 and today we are damn close to breaking the all time hot temp of 115. Someone please tell Al Gore to make up his mind.

Hot and dry!   I have never seen so little grass in the mountains here. I can't imagine what the eastern plains of NM look like, but I hear the ranchers are reducing their cattle by up to 30% or so because they can't feed more than that.  Locally, in the mtns, there are much fewer head being run in the forest and those keep trying to break throug our fenses to eat our grass.

Hot n Hotter.  Coolest place is in the hammock on west patio in shade tilll 2:30 pm. that would be about 98 in shade with an easterly breeze.
