Tough article to read and follow, but basically the switch to biofuel production hurts us more than it helps us.  Wonder if it will even register a blip on the media radar....

Not a surprise to me. I'm something of a skeptic anyways and never quite bit into the idea that growing fuel was a good idea.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

Science will always favor the ideas of those who pay for the studies...or pay for the education of those who teach what special interests want the public to believe.

The oil industry will never allow the bio-fuel idea to become viable....UNTIL the oil industry owns all the technology to produce bio-fuel and can control the flow of it.....IF that means donations to colleges or paying fellowships for professors to spue their crap, then that's what they do....until the time is right and then....it will be a miracle. BP or Exxon or Shell will anounce they have a wonderful replacement for gasoline....BIO-FUEL!!! They discovered it ???

I'm NOT saying ALL the engines in the world can run on CORN, but there can be better fuels than oil...AND...as soon as the development, patents and all the rights and profits are in the CHOSEN hands...THERE WILL BE ANOTHER FUEL !!!

I retired from BP and a major by-product of our business was hydrogen....It was funny that the media said there was no way under the sun a car could run on hydrogen.....UNTIL BP began producing enough hydrogen to make money on it. NOW we hear all the time about the hydrogen based alternative fuels that are about to hit the market.....and are already being sold in Europe.

Get the money in the right hands and WALA!!!!!!! It's a great product. :)

I had heard it didn't pencil out economically also.

There is also the study that says that Oil is a never ending resource - being constantly made underground.
