Well we started in March on a 24 x 34 with walkout basement - anybody know the best way to connect the ends of the framed wall to the concrete walls?  Is it sort of like a mudsill?  (The rebar sticking up in the center is just to mark where we are going to make the floor thicker for a load bearing wall, the gravel in front of the small wall is for a patio between the retaining walls)

My son installing the first floor joists.

First course of sheathing.

Looks good.

I see we didn't answer your question, but it has likely already been taken care of. A framed pony wall between the concrete and the joists should be framed on a treated sill bolted to the concrete just as it would on a full height wall.
None of us are as smart as all of us.

A 34 foot wall is heavy - it's a good thing I have a large family!

Next step is getting some building felt over that sheathing, then it's onward and upward to the roof!
