This topic drifted over here -- so picking up where we split off of OldDogs thread.

Well, OldDog, I haven't used old family wood, but I have used an old family manure spreader wheel to make a rotating cooking pot hanger for my wife.  Hung it right above her cookstove.

My family was so full of it we used to have to haul it off in a wagon. :-/  OK so I was kidding about the wagon.

This wheel may have come from a John Deere.  They were a good old well known tractor company with a spotless reputation.  So good in fact that they are still in business today.  Their reputation is so good because they stand behind everything they sell --- well, nearly everything.  Some farmers have had trouble getting them to stand behind their manure spreader. :(

I installed a new septic system for some people who are remodeling. The plumber came out Saturday and rerouted the sewer lines to the new 1500 gallon concrete tank. He slipped while walking around the old fiberglass tank that we will be abandoning. He went through the top of the old tank and when the homeowner came out he was chest deep and couldn't get himself out. He had been there for about 15 minutes and no one had heard him hollering. I guess he just really get's into his work. Now that is probably not the same as standing behind your product.

Filling it with dirt tomorrow Amanda. It was pumped empty today. I sure don't want that job. No, uh uh, no way.

Good.

I don't know about doing the job, but the guy who came to pump my septic tank in Nashville was cheerful, pleasant, and professional even though we couldn't find the tank for a while, it was a long way through fences and gates from the road, etc.

Enough that I called his boss to tell him that.

We install septic systems and other underground utilities. New, clean septic systems that have never been used. A guy wanted to sell me his pumper business a while back. He still owns it.  ;D

Bad attitude, Desdawg. :o

It may be crap to you but it's his bread and butter.

It could have all been yours. :)

Sorry 'bout that OldDog. We drift a bit once in a while -tends to broaden the conversation a bit and many times allows us to learn new things, but I think I can help it out a little. We'll just break this off a bit and get your topic back. :)

Shifting and splicing threads to get OldDog's topic on topic.  I think I - as usual started the drift.  This should get both threads going their own direction. :)
