Title: Norwood Multimate?
Post by: OlJarhead on January 10, 2010, 01:28:36 PM
Anyone seen these backhoes?  They attach to an ATV and appear to be pretty handy.

I'm wondering what they cost and if anyone has actually used one?

Thanks

Might be handy in sand or loose soil at a shallow depth but for everything else they would probably not cut it.  Be a good toy though ;D

Shows a depth of 5 1/2 feet of digging ability and I agree in the wrong soil it might be useless!  We had this puppy on our land last summer and Tom had to dig 3 different spots before he could get down to about 4 1/2 feet.  It's very fine sand mixed with boulders the size of stoves!

OK a lot of the rock is smaller but there are big rocks that weighed at least 100 lbs in there so digging was tough, but I still wonder if for small jobs around the homestead this wouldn't be a decent little toy to have!  It would do AWESOME when I wanted to dig up the stream bed (dry right now so just mud) for garden dirt ;)
