I can't wait to see how this project comes out, especially the Rocket Stove. I bought Iantos instructions on building them and thought they were a great idea. Someday I'll build one.

Well, the project already came out about as much as it's going to for awhile... The outside looks pretty much the same, except for the soffits and cedar shakes on the gable ends.

As far as the rocket stove goes, it's kept us warm for a winter and a half so far. The firebricks in the feed tube keep cracking, but that's the only problem we've had..

We did a rough breakdown on the total cost... It was kind of difficult, as we were getting misc. stuff through the whole process, but I think the total was around $15 a square foot. We could have cut costs even more if we knew what we were doing, though.
